Consultations are by appointments and can be booked in person or over the telephone during opening hours. Telephone lines are open between 08:30 - 18:00 Monday to Friday.
Saturday morning surgeries run from 08:00 until 13:15 and the GP Partners work on a rota for this service. Surgeries are approximately twice monthly and appointments are pre bookable.
Urgent appointments on a Saturday when we are open are subject to availability and if available, can be booked at the front desk on the day. Once these are filled patients will have to contact the emergency out of hours doctors if they need to see a doctor urgently.
If you need to have an appointment with your GP following a hospital appointment please be aware that it is taking at least 3 weeks for letters to arrive at the surgery so it is always worth checking to see if your GP has received a letter before you book an appointment.
Please be aware that if you are booking an appointment online this is a 10 minute appointment only, the GP can only deal with one problem in a 10 minute appointment if you have more than one thing you want the to discuss with the GP then please ring the surgery to book a double appointment.
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.
We are able to offer a chaperone during examinations if you wish to have one. Please feel free to ask the GP before an examination is started.
