Depression & Anxiety

Plymouth Options

Are currently  offering assessment appointments for the following week and patients that can have Low Intensity CBT based treatment or opt for step 2 groups  (which include Stress Control, Depression management, anxiety management, managing irritation and frustration), can access these within one month following their assessment appointment.  Longer term CBT,  counselling  ( 12-20 sessions ) and EMDR the wait can be 6-9 months but we are in the process of reviewing our waiting lists and working hard to reduce these times. I hope to update you on this with a monthly newsletter.

We see on average between 400 - 450  new referrals every month , and the website can give you more information as to what is on offer, including an employment advisor who can support patients back to work which in turn improves mental wellbeing.

We are trying to work in neighbourhoods to enable access for patients easier in addition to providing sessions out of Centre Court in Plymouth City Centre and in some GP practices across the city, we will soon be offering services in children’s centres and some Pharmacies.
