We carry out, or arrange, blood tests, urine tests, X-rays, Ultrasound and other tests and are able to discuss the results with you and take further action as necessary.

Urine Testing – important information

We no longer accept urine samples for women aged between 16 and 64 years old, unless pregnant or  specifically requested by a Clinician.  All female patients in this age range will be asked to attend a local Pharmacy who offer the Pharmacy First scheme.

If you have been asked by a Clinician to drop a sample in to the surgery, please ensure this is in the correct sample container – these can be obtained from Reception.  You may be asked to complete a short questionnaire regarding your symptoms at the front desk and one of our Nursing Team will test it during the day.  If a prescription is required a GP will do this for you and send it to your nominated Pharmacy later in the day.

For the sample to be processed correctly you MUST ensure you have put your name and date of birth on the sample pot.

Urine testing hours are: Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 15:00 and Friday 08:00 – 13:00.

If you have online access you can view your results here.

Or you can complete a SystmConnect Patient Triage requesting your results and the practice will get back to you to discuss them.
