Travel Health

We provide NHS-funded travel vaccinations for patients registered at Roborough Surgery. Some vaccines are only available privately – we will guide you through the process.

Step 1: Tell us about your trip
Complete a Travel Risk Assessment Form available by downloading a copy from the link below or request a paper form at Reception. The forms asks about destinations, dates, trip type, pas vaccines and medical history.

Step 2: Nurse review
A Nurse will review your form and check which NHS vaccines you can receive. If your trip is complex or requires private vaccines (e.g. Yellow Fever, Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis, Malaria tablets), you will be referred to a private travel clinic.

Step 3: Your appointment
If NHS vaccines are needed you will be booked in to see a Nurse. NHS vaccines may include Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Diphtheria/Tetanus/Polio booster and Cholera (in some cases).

Step 4: Aftercare
You will be given advice on side effects and when to seek help. Follow-up appointments arranged if additional doses are required. Referrals to private clinics provided where needed.
