Visiting the surgery - Updated 2nd November

Following the government announcement on Saturday 31st October 2020, our surgery is continuing to operate within the Coronavirus safety guidelines to ensure that you continue to receive care from us.

In a medical emergency always dial 999. 

For non-emergency medical advice dial 111.

For Coronavirus test booking go to gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test. Or telephone by dialling 119.  

If you need non-urgent medical advice from the surgery, use eConsult and you will receive a reply from us within 24 hours.

If you need to speak to the surgery or a clinician, call us on 01752 701659. 

When you visit the surgery for a face to face appointment will be asking the following questions before we let you into the building. This is to ensure that we are protecting our staff and other patients visting the surgery. 

  • Do you currently have any signs or symptoms of a respiratory infection such as a fever, new continuous cough, shortness of breath or change to taste or smell?
  • Have you come into close contact with someone who has conformed covid-19 diagnosis in the past 14 days or someone who is waiting for their covid test results?
  • Have you recently travelled to a covid infected area in uk or abroad?

We will ask all visitors to the surgery to wear a face mask or face covering. Young children and those with exemptions will not be required to wear a covering. See our news updates for more information.

Roborough Surgery is a Training practice for both undergraduate and post-graduate medical Training We work in conjunction with the University of Plymouth and NHS England to train future doctors and GPs.


eConsult can be used by all adults over 18.

16-18 year olds can also submit their own eConsult requests using the childrens questionnaires.

Parents and Guardians can submit requests for children over 6 months old.

Requests for assistance for children under 6 months old should be directed straight to the surgery.
