Clinical Practitioners

Nurse Practitioners are able to take a medical history, carry out medical examination, make a diagnosis, organise investigations and offer treatment and advice for a variety of common health conditions. Examples of these are sore throats, ear infections, cough, skin conditions, stomach upsets, chest infections and contraceptive queries.

LINDA GREEN

Lead Nurse

Is an experienced clinician who has undergone extensive additional training and works closely with the surgery GP’s. They act within their professional boundaries, providing urgent care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care/referral within the general practice. They work collaboratively with the GP’s and general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.

KATHARINE CHATTAWAY

Mental Health Practitioner

Provides acute mental health care for the patients from initial clinical/mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. Works collaboratively with the GP team to meet the needs of mental health patients and consider onward referrals to services depending on the patient's clinical need.

Nurses

MIRANDA BURKE

Is a registered nurse who is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe and effective nursing care. They look after our patients and carry out immunisations, smears, wound assessments, complex dressings as well as general nursing duties. They work under the direction of the nurse lead, Practice Manager and GPs to deliver the practice priorities.

REBECCA SEABROOK

Is a registered nurse who is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe and effective nursing care. They look after our patients and carry out immunisations, smears, wound assessments, complex dressings as well as general nursing duties. They work under the direction of the Nurse Lead, Practice Manager and GPs to deliver the practice priorities.

SAM PERKINS

Specialist Practice Nurse working with our patients who have long-term conditions including Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Hypertension, Heart Failure and Long Covid. Sam offers support, prescribes medications, initiates insulin, refers to specialities and can arrange bloods and x-rays. They work collaboratively with the GP’s and general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.

Nursing assistant working under supervision from the nurse lead carrying out specific tasks, clinical activities and tests for named patients, within the scope of established practice protocols, policies and procedures, including venepuncture, urine testing, blood pressure readings, ECG's, assisting with minor ops, ear irrigation, INR checks, simple wounds, removal of sutures/clips and health checks.

SHARON ATKINS

Is a trained member of the team who works under the direction of Nurse Lead and takes blood from patient for investigations . They also carry out warfarin blood checks, baby checks and BP monitoring.

Practice Manager

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Administers the practice accounts and deals with variable financial matters.

TRUDY SMITH

Operations Manager

Supports the Practice Manager with the day-to-day running of the surgery. Trudy works closely with the Management Team, Clinicians and wider practice team to ensure the surgery runs smoothly.

KELLY MACKNEY

Senior Receptionist

Manages the daily running of Reception including staff supervision and general administration. Kelly supports all clinical and non-clinical staff and is point of contact for any patient related enquiries.

Community Midwives

Community Nurses

The District Nursing Team are available to help housebound patients when necessary.

Health Visitors

A Health Visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
